Watercare Auckland has started the roll out of its price change across the Auckland area.
Starting from the 1st of July 2014 the amount charged for mains connected water and waste water will be more!
Watercare say this is the first increase in the last two years and that the average house will have a increase of less than $2 per month.
Landlords need to remember that they can NOT pass on the “fixed water charge” to tenants and must be paid separately by the landlord
The fixed charge will be going from $190 per year up $5 to $195 per year
Here is a run down of the increases:
1. Wasterwater – An increase from $1.343 to $1.375 per 1,000 litres across Auckland
2. Fixed charges – from $190 to $195 Per year
3. Non metered but connected to Watercare nextwork The fixed charge will increase to $596 per year
